More moms on the other side of the pond are choosing life, including a mother of conjoined twins and mothers of Down's Syndome babies. This is wonderful news! God bless these moms and their families.

Perhaps, but the dismal state of the British socialized health care system may also have had something to do with it.
On the same topic of pregnancy and health care, here is part of an article written by my favorite author Mark Steyn:
http://polipundit.com/index.php?p=8399
Steyn recounts the adventure of a Canadian woman Debrah Cornthwaite, who was in labor when she tried to obtain a bed at Langley Memorial Hospital in British Columbia and was refused because there was no place for her. After seven hours of paperwork and delay she was finally flown (still in labor) to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton to give birth.
I mention this story because it is a pretty close race between which healthcare system is worse: Canada's or Great Britain's. I wonder how many British women considered abortion and then rejected it not because of concern for the life of their baby, but because (a) they could not get an abortion, or (b) they were afraid of the lousy quality of government-run healthcare and decided that giving birth was the safest option. I suppose that I should not be so cynical, but I am.
In case you were wondering, I am a staunch opponent of abortion. But I don't think that there has been much of a change in opinion about abortion on either side of the Atlantic. I would love for it to be otherwise.
I agree 100%
